Personal Explorations (2025–2026)

These early works grew from a fascination with the presence of stones and the different relationships they could draw into being. Their forms and textures, the gestures made around them, and the spaces they occupied all shaped what might unfold. There was always room for something unexpected: a moment of intimacy, an imagined story, or an exchange that continued beyond the work itself.

Painted stones, particularly labradorite; painted plaster supports appear in some presentations.

Praying Stones explores the shifting relationships between stones and the people who approach them. Labradorite reveals different colours as the light or viewing angle changes, making even a small movement part of the encounter. Painted marks wander across their surfaces, responding to the stones’ patterns and whatever comes to mind in the moment. Across different settings, exhibitions and exchanges, the works continue to invite new interpretations.
